The Inheritance Auction (Father & Son)

Since I am an artist, this story stood out to me.
It further captures Our Inheritance Because of the Son.

-THE STORY OF A FATHER AND SON-

A wealthy man and his son loved to collect rare works of art. They had everything in their collection, from Picasso to Raphael. They would often sit together and admire the great works of art.

When the Vietnam conflict broke out, the son went to war. He was very courageous and died in battle while rescuing another soldier. The father was notified and grieved deeply for his only son.

About a month later, just before Christmas, there was a knock at the door. A young man stood at the door with a large package in his hands.

He said, "Sir, you don't know me, but I am the soldier for whom your son gave his life. He saved many lives that day, and he was carrying me to safety when a bullet struck him in the heart and he died instantly. He often talked about you, and your love for art." The young man held out this package. "I know this isn't much. I'm not really a great artist, but I think your son would have wanted you to have this."

The father opened the package. It was a portrait of his son, painted by the young man. He stared in awe at the way the soldier had captured the personality of his son in the painting. The father was so drawn to the eyes that his own eyes welled up with tears. He thanked the young man and offered to pay him for the picture. "Oh, no sir, I could never repay what your son did for me. It's a gift."

The father hung the portrait over his mantle. Every time visitors came to his home he took them to see the portrait of his son before he showed them any of the other great works he had collected.

A few years later the man died too. Since he had no heir, all his paintings were to be sold at auction. Collectors came from all around, it isn't often that such a great collection becomes available.

As the auction opened the first painting on the platform was the painting of the son. The auctioneer pounded his gavel. "We will start the bidding with this picture of the son. Who will bid for this picture?"

There was silence.

After a few moments, a voice in the back of the room shouted, "We want to see the famous paintings. Skip this one."

But the auctioneer persisted. "Will somebody bid for this painting. Who will start the bidding? $100, $200?"

Another voice angrily. "We didn't come to see this painting. We came to see the Van Goghs, the Rembrandts. Get on with the real bids!"

But still the auctioneer continued. "
The son! The son! Who'll take the son?"

Finally, a voice came from the very back of the room. It was the longtime gardener of the man and his son. "I'll give $10 for the painting." Being a poor man, it was all he could afford.

"We have $10, who will bid $20?"

"Give it to him for $10. Let's see the masters."

"$10 is the bid, won't someone bid $20?"

The crowd was becoming angry. They didn't want the picture of the son.

They wanted the more worthy investments for their collections.

The auctioneer pounded the gavel. "Going once, twice, SOLD for $10!"

A man sitting on the second row shouted, "Now let's get on with the collection!"

The auctioneer laid down his gavel. "I'm sorry, the auction is over."

"What about the paintings?"

"I am sorry. When I was called to conduct this auction, I was told of a secret stipulation in the will. I was not allowed to reveal that stipulation until this time. Only the painting of the son would be auctioned. Whoever bought that painting would inherit the entire estate, including all the paintings.

The man who took the son gets everything!"

God gave His son 2,000 years ago to die on the cross. Much like the auctioneer, His message today is: "The son, the son, who'll take the son?"

Because, you see, whoever takes the Son gets everything.

Praise / Renew / Persevere / Love

I've recently found 4 basic principles in my Christian walk. I believe these 4 principles will make you stronger.

• PRAISE: God always receives the Praise and Glory for all good things. And we should never cease Praising Him!

• RENEW: We need to constantly Renew our minds, to have them transform to His understanding, and not ours since we are influenced in the natural, but live in the supernatural.

• PERSEVERE: No matter what, Do Not Give Up! Press on! The answer is always around the corner, though we do not see it, we know it so fight/contend for what is yours!

• LOVE: The most important commandment LOVE God and Others! Nothing else matters except this, Love!

FACE to FACE with God

What does it mean to see God face of face?
Is it the same as seeing God?

John 1:18 (NIV)
No one has ever seen God, but God the One and Only (JESUS), who is at the Father's (God's) side, has made Him known.

John 1:18 (NKJ)
No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him.

John 6:46
No one has seen the Father except the one who is from God; only he has seen the Father.

Exodus 33:11
The LORD would speak to Moses FACE to FACE, as a man speaks with his friend.

Exodus 33:20-23
20. But," he said, "you cannot see my face, for no one may see me and live."
21. Then the LORD said, "There is a place near me where you may stand on a rock.
22. When my glory passes by, I will put you in a cleft in the rock and cover you with my hand until I have passed by.
23. Then I will remove my hand and you will see my back; but my face must not be seen."

It is interesting to see that you can see God Face to Face yet not actually see him. I think it is more like an expression, seeing God Heart to Heart. Not the physical being, but the heart behind the individual. It is a bonding of friendship, no walls put up, but open to each others heart. (as a man speaks to his friend) Fellowship with God is the essence of why we were made.

Impartation: Gifts of the Holy Spirit

What is Impartation and why does it seem new to the church?

Impartation: is passing something down from one person to another, wether it be information or a spiritual gift.

Impartation is as old as the bible but has not been passed down like many other ways have been.
Romans 1:11 Paul talks about Impartation, but to a subtle degree we just pass on right by it. Look at it in conjunction with Acts 8:9-23 and 1 Corinthians 12

Acts 19:6
When Paul placed his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they spoke in tongues and prophesied.

Romans 1 (NIV)
11. I long to see you so that I may IMPART to you some SPIRITUAL GIFT to make you strong—
12. that is, that you and I may be mutually encouraged by each other's faith.

Romans 1 (KJV)
11. For I long to see you, that I may IMPART unto you some SPIRITUAL GIFT, to the end ye may be established;
12. That is, that I may be comforted together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me.

So at this time the question is WHAT ARE SPIRITUAL GIFTS?
Where does it talk about LAYING ON OF HANDS?

Acts 8: (Laying on of Hands)
14. When the apostles in Jerusalem heard that Samaria had accepted the word of God, they sent Peter and John to them.
15. When they arrived, they prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Spirit,
16. because the Holy Spirit had not yet come upon any of them; they had simply been baptized into the name of the Lord Jesus.
17. Then Peter and John placed their hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.
18. When Simon saw that THE SPIRIT WAS GIVEN AT THE LAYING ON OF the apostles' HANDS, he offered them money
19. and said, "Give me also this ability so that everyone on whom I lay my hands may receive the Holy Spirit."
20. Peter answered: "May your money perish with you, because you thought you could buy the gift of God with money!
21. You have no part or share in this ministry, because your heart is not right before God.
22. Repent of this wickedness and pray to the Lord. Perhaps he will forgive you for having such a thought in your heart.
23. For I see that you are full of bitterness and captive to sin."

SPIRITUAL GIFTS (1 Corinthians 12)
-message of wisdom
-message of knowledge
-faith
-gifts of healing
-miraculous powers
-prophecy,
-distinguishing between spirits
-different kinds of tongues
-interpretation of tongues

1 Corinthians 12:27-
Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.
And in the church God has appointed
1) apostles
2) prophets
3) teachers
4) A. workers of miracles
4) B. gifts of healing
5) those able to help others
6) gifts of administration
7) those speaking in different kinds of tongues

Are all apostles?
Are all prophets?
Are all teachers?
Do all work miracles?
Do all have gifts of healing?
Do all speak in tongues?
Do all interpret?

BUT EAGERLY DESIRE THE GREATER GIFTS.

How can we "eagerly desire" something that we can not have? We can't! BUT we can eagerly desire something that is obtainable.
I believe the better wording is All these gifts are given to those who want to receive them. Not everyone wants all or some of them, and not everyone is good at all of them. Some are better in certain areas of the Gift's, so those who are should not condemn the one who does not.

Jacob's Latter

Genesis 28:12
Jacob had a dream in which he saw a STAIRWAYS resting on the EARTH, with its top reaching to HEAVEN, and the ANGELS OF GOD were (ascending and descending) on it.

John 1:51
He then added, "I tell you the truth, you shall see HEAVEN open, and the ANGELS OF GOD (ascending and descending) on the SON OF MAN."

I heard this talked about at the School of Healing and Impartation I recently went to. The stairway that was mentioned in Genesis can now be understood as Jesus (Son of man) from John. Interesting to see how Angels are allowed to move more freely now that Jesus paved the way. What are the angels purpose on earth? for man?

Taking It By Force!

This past year I went to several seminars. Andrew Wommack, Bill Johnson & Mehesh Shavad, Elijia List (East Coast Prophetics) And this week at Rand Clark's (School for Healing & Impartation) I observed something very interesting at these conferences, in all of them, they gave away FREE books, DVD's & CDs. Every time they gave them away, they would ask everyone who wants it? Almost everyone would raise their hands, I do, I do! Then there were a few who got off their buts and came forward, and there were even fewer, that grabbed it (taking it by force). I've made mental note of this and conveyed this thought to a few friends in relation to spiritual gifts.

Well today Randy Clark was giving away a few books. Most everyone raised their hands for, he handed them out to a few who asked, some far away, some close. No one running up to ask! I wasn't interested in those books so I didn't raise my hand. Then he got to the last book of his he was giving away on "Impartation". I wanted that one! He asked who wanted that one? I raised my hand like many others. Noticed his body language was different then the others he had handed out, standing in mid stage with his hand up high, saying "Who want's this book?" So I started to move quickly to the front, noticing another women on my right moving quickly too. So I ran in front of him, putting my hand right in his face, saying I do. Noticed his stair straight ahead. He then confirmed to me what he was trying to do, by saying "If anyone really wants this book bad enough, (that's when I moved) they can have it!" So I snatched it from his hands. His point proved and example shown to others. He then started his lesson off with "Those wanting spiritual gifts bad enough, take it by force!"

Very good lead in! I felt honored in a way to be the one, taking it by force. I pray my life lives in parallel with that spiritually as well!

Take it by Force!
There is so much God wants to offer us, and He is sure to give it to those who go get it, but less likely to those who sit back. There is so much, just go get them!

Praise, Renew, Persevere, Love-

The Prodigal Son / FAT COW / Brother & Heir

There are nuggets of Gold all over, we just need to be looking to find them!

I remember the story about the prodigal son. Most remember the story because of the LOST SON THAT RETURNS.... BUT they forget about the FAT COW!

What's the Fat Cow have to do with anything? Well a Fat Cow is one who is eating good because the farmer is wealthy! This cow was killed when the son returned. The son who stayed home asked the dad, why does he get the cow at his feast? The father said to that son "This cow was always yours, you could have had it at any time." We think, that we constantly need to ASK God instead of understanding What He already gave us. In doing so we need to KNOW who we are in Christ. Our Identity! We can not achieve this by "God's ways are not our ways, nor His thoughts ours" for then we never become one with Him. Biblical research will reveal (if you are searching for them) just exactly what we have as an HEIR (as a child) of God's. I am NOT saying we deserve it! I am saying because of grace it has been given.

Think hard next time you decide to pray (ask) God for something. It may have been given to you, you just lack the knowledge of how to obtain it! So to ask for it, may not be entirely correct to do. Hmmm, that might sound a little confusing...

Example: Jesus said "All Power and Authority has been given to me and I give it to you." So what do you do when temptation comes knocking? (Pray? or Command!?) I am NOT saying for anyone to be living this way in their own Power, but in Christ's. "So let him who boasts boasts in the Lord." I am saying we are heirs of Christ, so we have already been given a certain amount.

Just a thought-
If we do not know what we have, we have little, we live as peasants!
If we do know what we have been given, we have much, and live ask Kings!
