John 5:3 (Healing at the Pool)

(The Healing Angle & Jesus)

A question was asked, "Did Jesus Heal everyone?" The answer is Yes and No. Before everyone gets all out of wack, understand this, there were people that stayed home who never got healed, there were people around the world that never got healed, there are those who never approached Jesus that never got healed. Simply put, they did not go after healing from Jesus. Now I do need to add, those who could Not come, BUT had someone intercede for them on their behalf (like the soldier and the mother with sick kid at home) they got healed.

The bible makes note of it several times, that when the crowds gathered to SEE (to come to) Jesus, He healed them ALL.
So the actual logical question is, "Did Jesus heal everyone who came to Him?" YES!

Now as some of you do Bible Study, it is importance to cross examine verbiage (text) in different versions (NIV, NKJ, KJV) is a good idea. According to Marks answer "Jesus did Not heal everyone" in John 5:3 we can see in KJV & NKJ that Mark is CORRECT. It is presented as there were other folks in that area already, BUT it does NOT state they were there for Jesus. It DOES state they were there for the Pool of Bethesda waiting for the Angle to stir the waters. So in one regards, Jesus didn't heal everyone, simply because THEY WERE NOT THERE FOR HIM, they were there for the angle stirring the water.

Now according to (NIV) Mark is INCORRECT, because it states "used to lie" this means past tense, not current. However let's say for the sake of discussion, that there were people there. (I actually like the NKJ the best anyway, because it is closer to the actual English translation KJV, and easier to read.) So let's say Jesus did not heal anyone else there, just that one man. The other issue at hand is this; When you go to the hospital because you got something wrong with you, do you see Every doctor? No, one should be enough. If that one doesn't do the trick, you see a specialist, or another Physician. The Healing Angel was enough for most of those folks, however Jesus points out that the invalid man was there for 38 years waiting and could not get into the water quick enough. Knowing that, Jesus reaches out to that man Only, and heals him.

Why heal Only that man? (biblically speaking)
1) There was another Heavenly Healer there already. (The angle)
2) It was the sabbath day. (Didn't want to draw a crowd/get into trouble)
3) Because those other men were Not there for Jesus. (They were there because of the water/pool)

Now to end all this off, after Jesus Heals the man, Jesus says, "Stop sinning or else something worse may happen to you." Here we see another relationship to SIN and SICKNESS. Forgiveness and Healing. (just a thought)
-----
John 5 (NIV)
1.Some time later, Jesus went up to Jerusalem for a feast of the Jews.
2.Now there is in Jerusalem near the Sheep Gate a pool, which in Aramaic is called Bethesda and which is surrounded by five covered colonnades.
3.Here a great number of disabled people used to lie—the blind, the lame, the paralyzed.
5.One who was there had been an invalid for thirty-eight years.
6.When Jesus saw him lying there and learned that he had been in this condition for a long time, he asked him, "Do you want to get well?"
7."Sir," the invalid replied, "I have no one to help me into the pool when the water is stirred. While I am trying to get in, someone else goes down ahead of me."
8.Then Jesus said to him, "Get up! Pick up your mat and walk."
9. At once the man was cured; he picked up his mat and walked. The day on which this took place was a Sabbath,
10. and so the Jews said to the man who had been healed, "It is the Sabbath; the law forbids you to carry your mat."
11. But he replied, "The man who made me well said to me, 'Pick up your mat and walk.' "
12. So they asked him, "Who is this fellow who told you to pick it up and walk?"
13. The man who was healed had no idea who it was, for Jesus had slipped away into the crowd that was there.
14. Later Jesus found him at the temple and said to him, "See, you are well again. Stop sinning or something worse may happen to you."
15. The man went away and told the Jews that it was Jesus who had made him well.

John 5 (NKJ)
1. After this there was a feast of the Jews, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
2. Now there is in Jerusalem by the Sheep Gate a pool, which is called in Hebrew, Bethesda, having five porches.
3. In these lay a great multitude of sick people, blind, lame, paralyzed, waiting for the moving of the water.
4. For an angel went down at a certain time into the pool and stirred up the water; then whoever stepped in first, after the stirring of the water, was made well of whatever disease he had.
5. Now a certain man was there who had an infirmity thirty-eight years.
6. When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, “Do you want to be made well?”
7. The sick man answered Him, “Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me.”
8. Jesus said to him, “Rise, take up your bed and walk.”
9. And immediately the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked.
And that day was the Sabbath.
10. The Jews therefore said to him who was cured, “It is the Sabbath; it is not lawful for you to carry your bed.”
11. He answered them, “He who made me well said to me, ‘Take up your bed and walk.’”
12. Then they asked him, “Who is the Man who said to you, ‘Take up your bed and walk’?”
13. But the one who was healed did not know who it was, for Jesus had withdrawn, a multitude being in that place.
14. Afterward Jesus found him in the temple, and said to him, “See, you have been made well. Sin no more, lest a worse thing come upon you.”
15. The man departed and told the Jews that it was Jesus who had made him well.

-----------

John 5 (KJV)
1. After this there was a feast of the Jews; and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
2. Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches.
3. In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water.
4. For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.
5. And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years.
6. When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?
7. The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.
8. Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.
9. And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath.
10. The Jews therefore said unto him that was cured, It is the sabbath day: it is not lawful for thee to carry thy bed.
11. He answered them, He that made me whole, the same said unto me, Take up thy bed, and walk.
12. Then asked they him, What man is that which said unto thee, Take up thy bed, and walk?
13. And he that was healed wist not who it was: for Jesus had conveyed himself away, a multitude being in that place.
14. Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.
15. The man departed, and told the Jews that it was Jesus, which had made him whole.

MOVIES

I Love Movies! I do! There are 2 movies I want to talk about that have parrallels to our Christian walk.
Star Wars - (Yoda & Skywalker in the swamp)
&
Matrix - (Neo vs Morpheus sparing fight scene)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PcjnbIF1yAA&NR=1

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j82GKTgVDkw&feature=related

What relevance do these movies have? A freed Mind will allow the Power of Christ to flow through you easier and quicker. You will walk in Power and Authority. What has MORE power, the Natural or Supernatural? It is past sin that keeps us in bondage. Though we live in the natural we are not governed by the natural, it is the Supernatural that has MORE power. It is the Supernatural that created the natural, so even though we live in the natural, we have the inheriant ability to transcend the natural. Yet we don't, simply because we don't believe. We don't believe because we rely on the physical (see, feel, taste, smell, and hear) all that is around us. We are prisoners of our own surroundings. I am not blaming anyone, and I can say I fall in this area myself. BUT as Jesus & Peter walked on water, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego walked in the Fire, Enoc & Elijah never saw death, Moses and Elisha parted the water. Daniel is not harmed from Lions. It is by FAITH that we can LIVE FREE or live as you are. BUT do NOT doubt and do not fear, for that goes against everything that a Christian stands for. We are heirs to the King. Therefor we have access to all that He has for His glory! Be free in your mind, this is the beginning to the restoration of Eden.

Does it ONLY need to be for the "Glory of God" that we can live in the Supernaatural. Well when we conncet to God's heart on the deepest level, we will reflect His Glory in us. So that is a cheap question. Peter walked on water simply because he wanted to, not to "glorify the kingdom". Jesus turned his mothers water into wine, to please his mother, not to "glorify the kingdom". The works (signs & wonders) followed those who walked in righteousness (or in todays timeline, Christ) because they were smeared with anointing. We can too. It's not History, it's also for the Future, You just need to believe it!

Jesus had one concern that I am aware of, He asked, "When I return, will I find FAITH?" I wonder that myself too sometimes.

God Works Through Us!

Relationships —

I love the movie "Evan Almighty"! It was very clean and funny! There were a lot of good parallels to it. Obedience, Perseverance, and Relationship.

It is so easy to miss the Big Picture when we read a lot of the stories in the Bible. God Works Through Us. There is a symbiotic Relationship there that we often pass up a lot of the times. We often find times that will come up like someone needing some sort of help (you fill in the blank), and then we will say I know God has His hand on it, or God has control of it. The better response should be I know God has His eye on it. Because God works through His People. If you feel a tug at your heart for something (considering your spouse is OK with it) do it. That is His heart connecting to yours, that tugging feeling. Respond to it somehow. Jesus fed the 5,000 not by His own hands, but by His disciples hands. They are the ones who multiplied the bread by the power of God.

Romans 8:11 says we have the SAME Power that raised Christ from the dead INSIDE US. It is IN US. We just need to do something for God with it.

ANGELS - (recognition)

Why are ANGELS not so recognized today? What I mean is it seems like we do not talk about angels much in the church, yet it seems like they got a harder job then us. We seem to have this understanding that we do not need angles, "we have Jesus." But that is sadly not the case. Angles are from Jesus, from the Heavenlies. After Jesus' 40 day fast we see that the Angels came and attended Him. IF He needed them, that means we would need them even more so.

We are NOT to worship them, for they are like us, but I would still bring recognition/respect to a friend who is doing Spiritual warfare or is delivering a message to me via God.From this realm to that one. They are always in a battle for us, so are we but we sometimes choose not to see it. I want to bring up a fact that Angels are talked more about in the NEW testament then the Old, and the Old is more then twice a big and the New. The NEW testament starts off talking about an Angle (Gabriel) visiting Mary and then Joseph. Then it ends (Revelations) talking about Angels. MANY different kinds too. We know Lusefer as satin being the Worship Angel, Gabriel is a Messenger Angel, Michael is the Warrior Angel, Healing Angel in the Pool of Siloum (Bethesda) and then there are several different other kinds of angels talked about. In 2 Corinthians 10 there is the Destroying Angel. In Revelations, there were ones with trumpets, ones with sickles, ones that harvest, all kinds.

We tend not to talk much about what we do not see. I say THANK YOU, my friends in the Heavenlies! My allies! Thank you for your protection!

ANGELS-

John 5:4
For an angel went down at a certain time into the pool and stirred up the water; then whoever stepped in first, after the stirring of the water, was made well of whatever disease he had.

2 Corinthians 10:10
And do not grumble, as some of them did—and were killed by the destroying angel.

Psalm 78:49
He unleashed against them his hot anger, his wrath, indignation and hostility— a band of destroying angels.

Matthew 1:20
But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, "Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.

Matthew 4:11
Then the devil left him, and angels came and attended him.

1 Corinthians 6:3
Do you not know that we will judge angels? How much more the things of this life!

My Background in Healing

Do you believe "God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him?"

Since I was young there were stories in the bible that stood out to me. The women with the issue of blood, the fig tree Jesus cursed, the soldier that had his servant healed, Peter walking on water, etc. These were unexplainable through the teaching I have heard on the subject over the years. I knew, I felt a deeper meaning was there but was not revealed. Then about 6 years ago I went on a Men's camping trip and we discussed the topic of healing. That stirred up something in me. Shortly after the trip, a good friend gave me the Bible on audio CDs. I listened to them over and over again. Unsettled by the divided discussion on the matter of healing, I desided to research it biblically. Listening to the Bible over and over again (way over 30 or 40 times -New Testament) I put together a list that composed of What miracle happened? Who got healed? What took place that got them healed? (faith etc.) After my research I had a lot of questions answered! BUT I had a lot of new ones arise. I was stuck. I didn't know where to go for answers.

Then by divine appointment early in 2007, I heard Andrew Wommack speak on Christian channel (I never have that channel on) I just was flippen the channels late one night, stopped there, went in the next room to get a drink, then heard him talking about healing. I quickly ran back to the TV with pen and paper in hand. Took down his name and book (You've Already Got It- So quit trying to get it) I did a search for it the next day, and downloaded his audio book. He answered a lot of the questions I had. I listened to many other of his sermons that year and grew a lot. By the end of that year (2007) I started to understand exactly who I was in Christ and all I had in Him.

Towards the end of 2007 Pastor Jim Baker came to our class and spoke on healing. I was siked because there was someone else believed like I did! He spoke of another healer, Bill Johnson. From there it escaladed to researching other pastors and prophets and purchasing their sermons online. During this time one late evening in November, I had the presence of the Holy Spirit fall on me. He fell on me after a time of weeping. From that point on a lot of things started to change. For about the next 2 weeks or so I did not want sex from my wife. I can not explain it, there was a presence of God on me and through me. I started speaking in tongues. I also Hate reading, but was compelled to reading books on healing and my walk with God. I remember one evening during this time, I was in prayer and began to nod off, I was in a moment, woken with a pulse of what can be explained as electricity that made my body jump. It did not feel like earthly electricity and had no after effect. I quickly apologized for nodding off, because I felt like I was rude for doing so and that was His way of saying... "I was just talking to you!" Not to make any excuses for myself, but I never prayed so long as I did before.

During this manifested time of anointing, I did thing that felt natural, and can not even explain why because I never seen or heard anyone else do it. I just started doing it. Felt like it was the right thing to do. I started speaking in tongues every were I went, any were I went, even during while someone else was talking to me. (I should note this was spoken quietly under my breath, not out loud) Even when talking or listening to someone else. I started singing in tongues, even worshiping in tongues. Anytime I saw on TV or in person of a woman wearing revealing clothes, I started speaking tongues. This as I understood it in my heart, was a way of keeping the mind pure. I was also filled with Revelation understanding of the scriptures. Some of which came at me so fast I could not understand it. I typed in what I could and the more I wrote, the more it came to me. A lot of the topics are here in this blog site.

Renewing the mind daily became a nessesity! There is so much crap we see and listen to every day, we do not realize it, but we do not have filters. I realized just what Paul was talking about in the Bible about Renewing and Transforming your mind. Smith Wigglesworth described it best when he did not even look at a newspaper. Yet we all go home after a hard day of work and veg out in from of the TV and plug our minds into.

Another thing that had started to happen to me was visions. They were eyes closed visions, not the open ones some folks have. But it was pretty cool! I saw mostly still pictures, some moving, no sound.

God had given me many new insights and revelations in the Bible. I felt compelled to write them. Many which I wrote about here.

I think it was about December when God told me to go on a fast. Prior to this, I think the last time I fasted was about 1994. I hate fasting, not eating yummy food! This fast God wanted me on was for one or two days each week. He never told me when to stop. So for about 6 months I fasted one or two days each week.

During Christmas vacation at my parents house, my parents dog bit my son Benjamin's ear. I was out side rolling up a nylon net my father used for his chickens. It had a lot of rusted chicken wire tangled inside it and I was pulling it off as I was rolling it up. My mother came running outside all frantic, telling me to go inside the dog just bit Benjamin's ear. I immediately started praying in tongues, praising God, and building myself up in Him. I got inside to find my crying 2 year old squirming like crazy in my wifes arms as she was trying to hold on a towel with ice in it on his ear. The towel had a good amount of blood on it. I got a quick feeling that we need to rush him to get stiches, and I quickly dismissed it from my head. (renewing the mind-this is were physical and Spiritual battle) I took him in my arms and started praying and commanding as I have learned to do. Within what seemed to be a minute or two God told me to put my fingers over his ear lobe and give a soft squeeze as I prayed. So I did. This was satins second attempt to distract me, he reminded me of the rust I had on my fingers. I quickly dismissed that from my head to. The ear immediately stopped bleeding. So naturally I stopped pursuing it. LOL. Come to find out my wife said to me later that day, I wish you didn't stop, she wanted to see a complete healing. It wasn't 3 minutes after all that took place and my oldest son ran around the corner in the kitchen and caught his eye cheek on the corner of the marble counter. He did not cut himself, but he refused me from praying for him. Benjamin's cut ear was completely healed within that week. Noah's bruised eye took over 3-4 weeks to go away.

My manifested presence of anointing lasted about 2 months and slowly dissipated. The only feeling I can relate that to was a Christian High. I used to get them growing up going to Youth Group. Also during my time at YWAM.

Shortly after this time, our pastors wife said a very crucial thing one Sunday morning. "All of me, for All of you Jesus".I was actually glad that she phrased it in that order to. Because all to often we think God needs to come to us, and have this mentality that... I'm here, where are you God? Jesus said "You Will have me when you search for me with ALL your Heart."

OK, WHY HEALING? Good question! It WAS and IS the ministry of Jesus. Jesus said I did not come with words, but by Power to prove who I am. Picture this, you are among people who you are witnessing to, some may believe, some not. You can talk and talk. It takes a lot of effort to have them believe in Christ. You will probably have to befriend them, spend a lot of time with them. Where as in one moment, you can have them ALL believe. Bring up a few people in wheel chairs, deaf, blind, cancer victums and have them healed. There will be no disputing it. They will believe instantly.

HOW DO I KNOW IT IS GOD'S WILL TO HEAL EVERYONE? Good question! We see that in the life of Jesus. Several times it says in the Bible, Jesus Healed ALL. AND we know that Jesus could not do anything unless He saw God the Father do it first. The key is in the Prayer He taught us to pray. .... on Earth as it is in Heaven... Is there sickness in heaven? Matter of fact in order for us to learn about this you need to go to Genesis to find out what we had before the fall and after the fall of man. I don't want to get into that now. The other thing to think about while on this topic is there are (obstacles) hinderances to being healed. So while you may pray in faith, healing will not manifest itself 100% of the time.

I tell you it is a wonderful journey with some hard moments. Very rewarding and challenging too. I am absolutely not there yet, but the journey is awesome! If I can find what I found by digging in, I wonder how Powerful the church as a whole would be? Different avenues opening up for different people and the church becoming a church of Power as Christ intended would be an amazing sight.

God's Humor

God Humor

I find it funny sometimes when God just shows you something after you did something and shows you exactly what it was. Let me explain. I've researched this passion for Healing through the Bible, God put things on my heart to research and share with others. I write these topics down. Share them with my mother, who incedentily sees a prophet (Dan) a couple times a month. She starts telling me about prophets, the Elijiah List and what they are all saying around the world. So I kinda retreat because of my youth and her telling me about "Signs of the End" So I tell her I don't want to know anything about prophets. So, once again God starts speaking to me, Do you know what a Prophet is? Now that He ask, makes we question if I really did. So the next day I asked my mother what a Prophet was, she said I don't know, ask Dan. (I smelled a fish when she said that) (The prophet she sees; she emailed me his email address that I got today) Well today June 10, 2008, I decide to go to the free online dictionary to look up the word prophet. Before all this, my understanding of a Prophet was someone God uses to see the future. Well, that may be in some cases but what I found out shocked me. Let me copy paste some of what it says:

proph·et  (prft)
1. A person who speaks by divine inspiration or as the interpreter through whom the WILL of a God is Expressed.
2. A person gifted with profound moral insight and exceptional powers of expression.
3. A predictor; a soothsayer.

Well, I called my mother when I got home and told her what I just read. I then asked her, did you know what a prophet was? She said yes. I said you just wanted me to find out for myself, huh? Yes.

Well I am not in a rush to call myself a prophet, although it is pretty cool to see Prophetic Words were given to me! Paul talks about seeking after the highest gift "prophesy" I never looked at it that way, personally I would rather have Healing. LOL! Hey, from the words of Mary mother of Jesus, "Be it unto me as You desire Lord."

Just wanted to share that.
Blessings

God Speaks in Various Ways

God Speaks in Various Ways

Do you hear God speak to you?
Can you identify His voice from other voices?
Do you hear Him speak in different ways or just one?
Are you in-tune with His voice everywhere you go?

I want to encourage ALL those who read this to be alert for the voice of God in your life. Until recently I thought God only speaks one way to me. Upon deeper understanding I realised He speaks to me in multiple ways. I want to share some ways with you so you to can find other ways He speaks to you, so you can be discerning and alert to react when He speaks.

I have been reading a very good book. "How To Hear The Voice Of God In A Noisy World" by Teresa Seputis

Teresa describes several ways... Three I will talk about now.
Hearer
Seer
Sensor

A WORD OF KNOWLEDGE

Another type of communication God uses is a word of knowledge. A word of knowledge takes place when God shows someone something about the condition of another person. He does this because He wants to minister to the need of that person. The most common form of the word of knowledge relates to physical ailments that God wants to heal. But He also communicates through a word of knowledge about emotional issues and specific situations.

If God wanted to give a HEARER a word of knowledge about a stomach or digestive problem, He might say the words “stomach problem” or “ digestive disorder.” If He wanted to give this word to a SEER, He might show the person a diagram of a stomach from a medical book, or He might show an image of a person holding his tummy and look as if he were in pain. But if God wanted to give the same word of knowledge to a SENSEER, most likely He would let them feel briefly the pain in their stomach.

If He wanted to give a senser a word of knowledge about a headache, He would allow that person to feel the headache. If the word of knowledge was about someone’s intense anxiety, a senser may suddenly be overcome with anxiety for a brief period for no apparent reason.

I do no want to develop the concept of a word of knowledge and how to minister through this gift in this chapter. But it is helpful to note that when a senser gets a word of knowledge, it is usually a physical or emotional sensation. If you suddenly experience one of these sensations, and it does not seem to be appropriate to your circumstances, it may be a word of knowledge. God may be showing you someone else’s pain because He wants you to minister to that person in some manner. He may want you to intercede for that person. Perhaps He wants you to pray with the person for a physical healing. If you get a word of knowledge and don’t know whom it is for or what to do with it, ask God.

-----------------------

She describes in more detail then my little Blog can. I have only given you a few examples from one page, she gives more examples and more in-depth. I encourage other Christians who desire to have a more intimate relationship with God to read this book. Good in-site! Why read books? Why isn't the Bible good enough. Well for one thing since the release of the Holy Spirit from Christ's resurection, the Holy Spirit has shown Himself to other people in many different ways that is not described or recorded in the Bible. It is in understanding How He could communicate to us, that we find... "Oh, He has been talking to me that way and I didn't know it." We become more aware and attentive to discern His presence.

I pray that Where ever you go, What ever you do, Whom ever you talk to, listen and be attentive to the Holy Spirit at any given moment. He may be telling you something for the other person or for you. Listen carefully.

Habituation

Habituation-That's a weird word!
Funny thing is, this is one of the only things I walked away with actually remembering from College Psychology? I don't remember much else from Psychology class. But this word left an impression on me.

When I first told my wife of the word, she was like whhhaaat?? It's not a word commonly used although it is mostly identified with in our daily lives. Do you know what that word means?

Wikipedia:
In psychology, habituation is an example of non-associative learning in which there is a progressive diminution of behavioral response probability with repetition of a stimulus. Habituation is the point at which responding ceases.

Let me put it to you in a reality way of understanding it. When car alarms first came out, and an alarm went off, it got everyones attention (everyone looked). Now after several years of being exposed to car alarms going off, no one looks any more. That is called habituation. It is a slow decrease in your sesitivity to the point of not responding any more.
So now that we know that word a little better, how can we intergrate that into our daily life? How about our Christian life? There are so many ways that the subtle lies of satin slowly become part of our beliefs and we tend to decrease our sensetivity toward God because of them.

In another view there are issues God wants us to do in our lives, like quit smoking, quit lusting, go on fasts, love our spouse more, and we just don't feel like it. Enough of God asking and enough of your denial puts you into a place of Habituation to His voice. Then one day you realize you are in a place of not hearing God's voice and you start to question why? That is the point we usually have to repent, and be restored. Are you there? Repentance is the BEST way back into Gods arms! I heard a speaker say one time, "Forgiveness restores the Norm." Or in this case your Repentance brings you back to an open Relationship again.
