Freedom from Curses

Curses-

Any type of a curse has NO power over you. Whether it is out of the mouth of a vodo doctor or out of the Bible such as a generational curse (old testament.) Jesus bore our curses on the cross. Praise God we are free!

Galatians 3:
13. Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: "Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree."
14. He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.

I've heard many folks say they still believe in generational curses. One sin passes onto another generation (like alcoholism, anger, violence, sex abuse). Well that may be true if you are not a Christian, but as a Christian we are Free! How? For one thing this is an Old Testament verse (mindset) and anything Old Covenant should be reviewed with a New understanding of what has been given to us by clearly understanding the New Covenant. Even if this verse in Galatians did not say this, one can conclude that since Christ' Power and Authority has been given to us, curses are no longer a factor. Even reinforcing that concept this verse assures us of our freedom in curses. In this verse it even brings up a promise to Abraham and Jesus' purchase for that freedom. Generational curses was an old testament curse.

(1) Jesus became a curse for us
(2) Through Christ's victory on the cross, we have His Authority over issues like this.

We have the ability, first through Hope, and from Hope, Faith, and from Faith, Love. We already have the victory in Jesus.
